Our Wedding

We met in April of 2016 through our mutual friend, Patrick Demofonte, at The Jacksonville Jaguars Draft Day Party.&nbsp;Lewis bought two season tickets right next to me, even though he was still living in Raleigh at the time.&nbsp;Our love story, and our spark was from Day One, in the hotel lobby of the Omni in Downtown Jacksonville, prior to Draft Party.&nbsp;Lewis had just gotten out of a relationship, and I had just gotten into one, but we both felt chemistry immediately.&nbsp;The timing was never right between the two of us, so we became best friends instead. Lewis came down to visit, just as friends, as he had done many times since we met. But this time was different, the timing was right and we were both single. We went out downtown Saint Augustine for dinner and drinks.&nbsp; &nbsp;Then, as we were waiting for our Uber&nbsp;under the last streetlight in front of Casa Reina, there was that unforgettable moment when we locked eyes, and indulged in our first kiss.... The rest is history. Lewis proposed on September 6th, 2024, under the same streetlight where we shared our first kiss.... in a torrential downpour.&nbsp;Lewis had coordinated with my little sister, Karla, to have my mom and her, and Lewis’ parents’&nbsp;comedown for a surprise celebration.&nbsp;Karla and Lewis&nbsp;had everything planned perfectly, down to the minute, and all the planning went out the window, due to the inclement&nbsp;weather.&nbsp;Regardless, while completely soaked, Lewis&nbsp;took a very confused me to "Our Light Pole", where he&nbsp;got on one knee, and he did the deed.
